Welcome to Burnside Cottage!

The outside of the cottage

Burnside Cottage is a lovely traditional two bedroom cottage, that sleeps 4 people and is situated in the village of Broadford at the south end of the island. Broadford can be reached by crossing the nearby Skye bridge (now toll free) or by taking a trip on a ferry from Mallaig to Armadale, Sleat or the small ferry at Glenelg to Kylerhea.

The cottage is situated approximately 20 yards from the Broadford river with stunning views of Beinn na Cailleach and the Red Cuillins.

The scenery of Skye is world famous for it's variety. From the dramatic Cuillin mountains, the strange rock formations of the Quirang to the lushness of the Garden of Skye in the south of the island. Around Broadford there are numerous mountain and coastal walks.

The sitting room

For the more adventurous the pretty fishing village of Elgol provides boat trips to Loch Coruisk which lies in the heart of the Cuillin mountains.

Broadford is the second largest village on Skye and has a petrol station with a shop and laundrette, a supermarket, post office, bank, butcher and various other shops and art galleries etc. There are also several restaurants, pubs and cafes where you can have a meal.
